About the Club

Spanish Oaks Golf Club opened in the early 2000s at the center of the community, with an 18-hole course designed by Bobby Weed. It was recognized by Golf Digest as one of the country's best new private clubs shortly after opening and has since appeared on Golfweek's lists of the best private and residential courses in Texas. The club remains deliberately low-key: a small membership, an emphasis on the game itself, and one of the most environmentally considered layouts built in the state.

Membership

Membership is handled by the club directly and is separate from the purchase of a home — owning in Spanish Oaks does not automatically convey a membership. Prospective members apply through the club, and availability, categories, and initiation terms are set by the club and revisited periodically. Buyers who intend to play should begin that conversation in parallel with a home search rather than after closing.

The Course

The Weed design routes eighteen holes through native canyon terrain, limestone outcroppings, and heritage oaks rather than reshaping the land around the housing. Elevation change, exposed rock, and generous native areas define the round, and the practice facilities were expanded under Bobby Weed Golf Design in 2021. The club also draws strong amateur players and a handful of touring professionals.
